Who we are
This policy covers the game Oops! All Toys: Tidy Up the Cozy Shop! and the website tidyareagames.com. Both are run by Tidy Area Games, Türkiye. Contact: support@tidyareagames.com
The short version
- The game has no analytics, no ads, no accounts and no tracking.
- The game sends data to us only when you report a bug and press Send.
- The website keeps only what you type into its forms: the newsletter, the contact form and comments.
- We never sell your data and never use it for advertising.
The game
Stored on your computer
Your saves are stored in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Tidy Area Games\Oops! All Toys; your settings and key bindings are stored in the Windows registry. They stay on your computer and are never sent to us on their own. You can delete them at any time.
Bug reports
When you press F8 (or Report a Bug in the pause menu) and then Send, the report contains:
- the note you write;
- your name, if you choose to write one (optional; the game remembers it on your computer for your next report);
- a screenshot of the game;
- your current save;
- the last part of the game's log file, with your Windows user name removed;
- information about your computer: Windows version, processor, memory, graphics card and driver, screen resolution, the game's settings and launch options, the game version and language.
You can remove the screenshot, the save and the log before sending. If the game closed unexpectedly, the next time it starts it asks whether to send a crash report; nothing is sent unless you say yes. If you are offline, the report waits on your computer and is sent the next time the game starts.
Reports go to Google Sheets and Google Drive in our own Google account. We use them only to find and fix bugs, and we delete them once the bug is fixed, at the latest 12 months after the report.
Steam
The game is sold and delivered through Steam, which is run by Valve. Your purchase, your Steam account and Steam features such as achievements or cloud saves are handled by Valve under the Steam Privacy Policy. From Steam we only see anonymous, combined statistics (for example total sales) that cannot identify you.
Beta testers
If you take part in a test before release and fill in our feedback form (Google Forms), your answers go to our Google account. We use them only to improve the game and delete them at the latest 12 months after the test ends.
The website
- Newsletter: your email address, the date you signed up and the site language. We use it only to send news about our games, from our own Google account (Gmail). Every email has an unsubscribe link: using it deletes your address and the record of which announcements we sent you. Otherwise we keep it until you ask us to remove it or we stop the newsletter.
- Contact form: your name, email address and message. We use them only to answer you and delete them at the latest 12 months later.
- Comments: the name and comment you write are shown publicly on the site. Some comments, for example ones with a link, appear only after we approve them. They stay until you ask us to remove them. Likes are anonymous counts.
All of this is stored in Google Sheets in our own Google account.
The site uses no cookies and no ads. To count visits we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify you: it counts page views, the country and the referring site, and which browser and device type visitors use. Your browser remembers your language choice and whether you have signed up, on your own device only. Videos in our news feed come from YouTube: the preview image is loaded from YouTube's servers, so your browser connects to Google, which sees your IP address. The player itself, in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, loads only when you press play, and YouTube may then store data on your device. Photos in the news feed are kept in our Google Drive and load from Google's servers in the same way. The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the site and keep it secure.
When you email us
Mail sent to support@tidyareagames.com is forwarded to our Gmail account. We receive your email address and anything you choose to send (for example a screenshot or a log file). We use it only to answer you and to fix the problem, and delete it at the latest 12 months after the conversation ends.
Who else handles the data
Google (Sheets, Drive, Forms, Gmail, YouTube), Cloudflare (website, visit counting and email forwarding) and Valve (Steam) process data on our behalf or under their own policies. Their servers may be outside Türkiye and the EU, including in the United States. By pressing Send, signing up or writing to us, you agree that your data goes to these services.
Children
The game is suitable for all ages and collects nothing unless a bug report is sent. If you are a child, ask a parent before writing your name in a bug report or contacting us. If you think a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU GDPR or Türkiye's KVKK), you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Write to support@tidyareagames.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page before the change takes effect and change the date at the top.
